Yes! All of our pecan butters are gluten free.

The oil separation is actually a good thing. It is one way you know that our product is all natural. We don’t use any emulsifiers in our butters. To stir the butter back together, we recommend using a blunt knife (like a butter knife) to stir the butter back together.

Refrigeration, while not necessary will slow down the emulsification process.

No. Our pecan butter does not have to be refrigerated, and can be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight. While it isn’t necessary, we have found that there are two benefits of refrigeration, 1. Slowing down the emulsification process and 2. Easier spreading of the pecan butter.

Our pecan butter can be enjoyed simply by the spoonful or on a variety of breads or fruit. Many of our customers say they love adding it to their morning oatmeal or shake or on top of ice cream. Check out our blog, here, for more recipe ideas!

Fudge Butter FAQs

The oil separation is actually a good thing! It is one way you know that our product is all natural. Once it is stirred and refrigerated, the coconut oil acts as a natural emulsifier to keep the fudge butter in it’s fudge-like consistency. We recommend using a blunt knife (like a butter knife) to initially stir the fudge butter together. Remember — stir, chill, enjoy!

Once your pecan butter is opened, it needs to be refrigerated to keep it in its fudge-like consistency. It can be taken out of the refrigerator numerous times with no problem.

Always make sure to stir your fudge butter well before placing it back into the refrigerator.

It depends on the size of the jar and how cool your refrigerator is, but we have found that on average it takes about five hours for the pecan fudge butter to arrive at a fudge-like consistency.

We use a refined coconut oil in this pecan butter that has a neutral taste. You will NOT taste any coconut flavor in our pecan fudge butter.

At room temperature, your Fudge Butter is more like a sauce. Try drizzling it over ice cream, cheesecake, or brownies. Once refrigerated, our pecan fudge butter can be enjoyed simply by the spoonful or on a piece of bread or fruit. Try spreading it on pancakes, waffles, or toast. It is also great on graham crackers or vanilla wafers. Be creative and enjoy!
