We're a family-owned company in Southwest Georgia, where our family has grown pecans for three generations. What began with Roy Goodson's grove and his wife Ruth's sugared-pecan recipe is now a full line of gourmet flavored pecans, all-natural pecan butters, and small-batch goodies - still grown on Georgia soil, still made by hand, and still packed by our family in a peanut-free facility. For us, good food and good memories have always gone together.
Our Story
Our History
It began in 1972, when Roy Goodson planted a small grove in Barwick, Georgia, while serving as Lee County's Extension Director. In the kitchen, his wife, Ruth - "Meme" - sugared and pan-baked pecans by hand to share with friends and neighbors: the recipe behind our Meme's Sugar Pecans.
In 2010, Roy and Ruth's son David and his wife, Melody, turned the family pecans into a business. Our first pecan butter followed in 2014, granola in 2019, and a line of small-batch goodies - popcorn, cookies, and candies - in 2024. Along the way, our flavors earned Flavor of Georgia and Good Food Award honors, our farm was featured on PBS's Fork in the Road, and we opened our store in Leesburg.
Three generations later, we're still growing pecans, developing recipes, and packing every order by hand.
Our Vision
Our vision is simple: to share a genuine taste of Georgia with more families, without losing what makes our products ours - grown and sourced in Georgia, made by hand, and packed by our own family. We're grateful for how far this grove has come, and we look forward to what's ahead: new flavors to share, and the next generation of Goodsons ready to carry it forward.
From our family's orchard to your family's table.
